Dance Dance: Reception Part 2

We kicked off the dancing with the father daughter dance. My dad picked "Over the Rainbow" by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole.

Eddie & his mom danced to "In My Life" by The Beatles.

From then on it was non stop on the dance floor! I got some great advice from my "new" cousins Alicia & Ronnie, that  everyone will follow the bride and grooms lead so if they are on the dance floor everyone else will be too!

That helped but also our friends and relatives are dancing maniacs!

Especially this little nugget. She has some moves! :)

Busting it down with bridesmaid Trisha, and I love that my husband is not afraid of the dance floor either!

One of my favorite pictures from the dance floor, this would be my cousin Andrew and our Aunt Margo!

Eddie must get it from his Dad, as Big Ed isn't afraid of the dance floor either!

Showing flower girl Nina how to get low!
My cousin (their mom) picked out their flower girl dresses, she did such a great job!!!!

It was time for the garter and flower toss!
As Eddie was removing the garter the Jaws theme song was playing! Ed is shark fanatic (weird I know!).

We got the gentleman on the floor to "Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon!

My Maid of Honor's boyfriend, Joey, caught the garter!
It was faith! And I'm so glad he looked excited about it ;) I would love me another wedding in my near future!!!!

The girls gathered on the dance floor to "Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguilera, Pink & Lil' Kim et etc etc.

We made sure maid of honor was dead center.

This girl was DETERMINED. Look at her box out stance (former bball players here!)

And its hers!

They had so much fun with this I loved it! The DJ had him put it on her first then she got to put it anywhere on him.

Dancing ensued and before I knew it our last dance song began to play.

We closed the night with "Marry You" by Bruno Mars.

And that my friends ends the recaps to the most amazing day of our lives!!

Labor Day Weekend Wedding!

Blogging from good ol' Massachusetts this morning!

Eddie & I have made some great friends in Seattle.
2 being Kendra & Justin! We were both honored to be a part of their wedding this past weekend in New Hampshire. The ceremony & reception took place at the Omni Mount Washington Hotel.  Which is INSANELY beautiful!

We had quite the wedding party. (9 of on each side!)

We started the morning nice and early and headed to Kendra's suite.

Around noon Megan & I were up for hair at the hotel Spa. There was a lot of poofs and curls going on here.

The finished products back up in Kendra's suite!
At the rehearsal dinner she gifted us matching robes, shorts & tanks to wear.

Beautiful bridefriend! She had 2 boxes of hair extensions in, and that hair stayed perfectly curled all night long!

Kendra had so much detail going on for this day, all of our dresses lined up and ready to go!

Enjoying some down time with Megan before the ceremony begins! Megan is also a Seattle friend, although she is originally from Mass too!

The ceremony took place on a veranda overlooking the mountains.

They wrote their own vows and they were both so heartfelt.

Cocktail hour immediately followed on the gorgeous wrap around porch.
Now lets chat about our bridesmaid dresses! I loved them! She picked a few styles from Mori Lee and then let us take our pick. She added blinged belts to them all! The guys looked pretty good themselves! Their tux's were from the new Vera Wang line at Men's Wearhouse.

Moving on to the reception. Tall vases with beautiful white and green flowers filled the long rectangular tables they named after different parts of the world they've been to.
I LOVED finding my seat and seeing my new name. (although I've been so busy that I have yet to get around to making the name change completely official!)

Kendra surprised Justin by having his mom sing their first dance song! He was definitely surprised and touched, his mom sounded amazing too!

We danced ALL night and even extended the reception an extra half hour to keep the party going! Towards the end of the night...

Congrats to the bride & groom! We love you!!!!

Celebrating: Reception Part 1

And NOW the fun moment we've been waiting for.
Dancing, Eating and Drinking!

My brother was paired up with one of best childhood friends. It was only fitting, Kim and I spent many hours tagging/trying to tag along with Colin as kids! And I can't count the # of times he's walked into Kim & I dancing around in my parents living room to Ace of Base.

Moments before our entrance, I made Eddie promise no silly dance moves, lets just walk in smile at our friends and fam and start our first dance...

 sure he says...

LIES! although I'm glad he went with his heart on this one.. it sure did make me laugh.

And a moment of calm as we danced our first dance to Pearl Jam's: Breathe.

From our first dance we moved into the toasts. My dad was the first one up!

Things were going real good...

and then, he whipped out a letter from his pocket that I had written circa 1989ish entitled "I Hate My Dad"

He gave such a great toast, and adding this letter was so hilarious. Although I may not be in my single digits anymore. I still hold some of those very same characteristics as I did when I as a child.

Including... getting what I want. ;)

Next up my beautiful maid of honor Collette aka Brady.
She had me laughing..

.. then crying, with her thoughtful toast. Keeping strong friendships isn't the easiest thing when you move so far away from each other, but Collette makes it easy.
I love that she included in her toast that she knew when she met Eddie that I was going to marry him. She really did, I remember those exact words coming out of her mouth upon first meeting. You called it girl, oh you called it!

Next up best man Jimmy, he did a great job explaining how Eddie has had a "lucky" streak for sometime now... obviously right, since he got me?!! ha.

Lastly, Eddie took the mic. I mentioned in this post how we were both supposed to speak, I just couldn't do it. Eddie is a great public speaker and was more than happy to take over the job himself to thank our guests for joining us!

while I just smiled pretty..

After some eating and mingling we moved onto the cake..

I had SUCH anxiety cutting this cake, I could hardly enjoy the moment... maybe I just loved the cake that much and didn't want to ruin it.. maybe I was just worried Eddie would get it on my gown.. who knows?! But I was not enjoying myself at this very moment..

But then I was all like "Hey its just cake"

And I breathed a sigh of relief..

All the formalities were out of the way now it was time for the real party to begin!

Happiness: Fun Pics

Once we arrived at the venue we hopped off the trolley quickly in search for..... FOOOD.

I made a total bride fail by not stocking my suite up with food for my girls for the 6 or so hours that we prepped for. I could hardly eat so I wasn't really even thinking about it, but obviously my girls didn't have the serious nerves going on like I did.

BAD BAD bride!

Whoops sorry girls! :) yah still love me?!

The apps were def worth the wait. Sliders with shots of Sam Summer, bacon wrapped scallops, coconut chicken satay, & crab cakes. MmmMMm.

After I stuffed a slider or 2 down I was ready to go for some of our fun group shots!

We dismissed the wedding party, and I'm sure they were thrilled they could go take advantage of the bar and more apps!

We then jumped on a golf cart and made our way to a great location that my photographer found at the venue.

Picket fence and gorgeous light, Katie is a genious. This spot was everything I could've wanted in a rustic/chic backdrop!

When she told us to get down on the grass, I was a bit hesitant with my dress, but the shots came out great!

I loved everything about taking these photos. It was so nice to have some one on one time with Eddie. Although towards the end I could definitly tell he was getting ansey to get into the party!
